Join me in a workshop that meets four times in 2-hour sessions. We will explore the use of variable tesserae size and shape chaotic andamento, discuss how-tos for creating realism and an illusion of space and employing my double reverse technique to create a 12 x 12 x .5 inch interior wall hanging (to be framed and grouted, if desired, on own after final session). 

 

I will work with students through creative blocks and advise how to deal with difficult or troublesome areas. We will discuss topics, such as choosing and manipulating images, selecting glass, hue in context, importance of tonal contrast, letting the work take on a life of its own, and framing. 

 

All levels welcome in the two- and four-week course; intermediate to advanced level recommended for the one week version.

 

Prior to the workshop you will receive a list of materials, step-by-step procedures, and list of resource links. Two or more demonstration videos for set up and flipping will be available on FB. To handle questions and difficulties between sessions, participants may contact me via email and a private FB group site.
